Dear users,
It is our pleasure to announce HoW exciting! 2026, the newest edition of our workshop series on excitations in solids. The event combines keynote lectures covering the most recent theoretical advances and forefront experimental research presented by leading experts in their respective fields with hands-on tutorial sessions on the exciting code, guided by its developers and experienced users. HoW exciting! 2026 will take place from July 22-30, 2026, at the Campus Adlershof of the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.
Our workshop program is especially curated to cater to all skill levels: beginners will gain a comprehensive introduction to the methods of solid-state physics as well as the exciting code, while experienced users can dive deep into the most advanced methods that the code has to offer. In addition to the keynote lectures and tutorial sessions, we also offer user-projects discussion sessions, where experienced users could discuss their ideas and implementations with the developers of the code.
Registration is now open on our website until May 22, 2026. Please, register as soon as possible, since space is limited to 70 people. We also encourage you to submit an abstract for a contributed talk or for a poster presentation. Please, visit the workshop website for further information.
