pymatgen.ext.matproj.MPRestError: REST query returned with error status code 503

Hi everyone,

I was trying to do some simple queries from the materials project database but kept receiving this error: pymatgen.ext.matproj.MPRestError: REST query returned with error status code 503. Is the server down or I’m doing something wrong on my end?

Same for me. Sometimes I can pull a few structures before I get the error. Anyone have any ideas?

yep. The MPRester reported an “unknown server error” and retried a couple of times but eventually gave up with the 503 error.
