i am certain that vikas knows what an angle and a dihedral is.
however the term "angle between a particle and a dihedral" is
something else. a dihedral is defined by 4 points (or two planes), but
how do you define an angle between a point and that??

axel.

Thanks Axel, Take it easy.

As English is our (India’s) second language, sometimes, the thoughts which are in our minds do no come out in writing as you desire (during early years like undergraduate). On the top of that, we think that what we have written makes perfect sense, especially IITians (looking at his email address).

Dude (I don’t know your name), this is what I suggest you do.

  1. Go to your friend (every IITian know enough 3D geometry) who you think is better than you in writing (I am sure you are not the best among your friends) or your hostel’s BSW representative and get your question (i.e., the term “angle between particle and dihedral”) verified if that makes sense.

  2. If you think you are right, draw us a pictorial representation of your question. I will be happy to help you out.

P.S. I did take any offense (but laughed), you neither should you. I was in your shoes (in IIT) more than a decade ago. Those were good old days

Cheers,
Vikas
