Regarding effect of energy keyword on equilibrium distribution of particles

Dear All,
I have applied a spatial dependent force on the particles via add-force command
and not using energy minimization.I am not using energy keyword.
I want to know that equilibrium distribution of particles obtained with energy keyword
and without keyword will be identical or different.
which is the right command (with or without keyword) for equilibrium distribution of particles
in presence of applied force?

this kind of question is usually best answered by making a proper test.

there rarely is the "one right answer". if you are interested in that,
you should probably take up courses in philosophy. it should be
obvious, however, from a basic understanding of MD that only forces
impact the dynamics. (potential) energy is merely a diagnostic output.
