I am doing slab simulations with non-periodic box along z axis. I am using “kspace_modify slab 3.0” in the input file. Do I need to create vacuum explicitly in my simulation box along z direction or kspace_modify slab will be sufficient to avoid interactions between periodic images along z direction.

what does the manual say about this?
