Restart to data file

Dear LAMMPS experts,

I have converted my restart file to data file through r2data command, I just want to know that whether a converted data file contains the assigned velocity of restart file or I have to reassign it?

You can check yourself so that you are 100% sure.

If there is the keyword “Velocities” in the converted data file then the velocities are contained.

An easy way is to check is to use grep command in Linux :
grep -i velocities name_data_file
