Specified force constant in fix indent

Dear all,

Could you please explain me the indent problem in examples folder.
In in.indent.min input k, and k1 (specified force constant) are chosen 5000/xlat and 1000/xlat
I really don’t understand why the k values are chosen differently?
In the previous explanation, Steve stated that k depends on the interaction between atoms (in polymer chain, i.e. my case) and the indenter (carbon nanotube). Could you please explain in details at this point.
Thanks in advance
With best regards,
Ha.

That script (like all the scripts in the examples dir) are just
for illustration purposes. The values of the constants are
somewhat arbitrary in this case. The reason to have 2 K
values was simply to show that you can minimize with the
first one, then change to the 2nd one and minimize further,
even if the indenter doesn't move.
