I am working on a scientific project focused on developing wear-resistant aluminothermic rail welding materials. I have created an account on the new Materials Project platform and obtained an API key. However, when I use this key with the MPRester function in pymatgen, I consistently receive a “ValueError: Invalid or old API key” error.
Despite following all the instructions, I have not been able to obtain an API key in JWT format, nor have I found any guidance on how to do so. My account is active, and I can log in without issues.
I would greatly appreciate your assistance in resolving this issue or guidance on how to obtain a new API token compatible with pymatgen.
