Just looking for some general advice on material behaviour. Specifically the thermal conductivity (TC) variation with temperature, specifically for systems like molten slags (above 1500C). The literature is somewhat unclear.
TC can decrease or increase with T for slags, but I’ve mostly seen increase with T in literature. I am however seeing an increase in TC from all my calculations - using GK (Sportran) for 3 established classic FF’s, 3 CAS slags studied in detail, and some other slags I’ve studied as well. The terms within the G-K formulation can contribute to an increase or decrease (depending on which dominate).
I will elaborate more in this thread a bit later, with other specific details.
