thermal conductivity with Muller-Plathe

Dear all

I want to calculate the thermal conductivity with Muller-Plathe. But when the difference in temperature between heat source and heat sink becomes bigger, the thermal conductivity I calculated will become bigger. Could anyone tell me the reason.

Best wishes

Assuming you know what you’re doing in your simulations, the answer is that you are only interested in the value that you get for small temperature gradients as this is the limit where linear response theory holds. But given that you didn’t even know the theoretical basis of your method, probably my first assumption does not hold and your script/system is plagued with many other errors.
