technically, yes. fix ttm doesn't know or care what kind of system you
have, it just follows the prescribed recipe. whether it is a
physically meaningful model, however, is a totally different question
and independent from using LAMMPS. you should start looking for an
answer to that question by reading the two papers that are referenced
in the fix ttm documentation.
