Units Query -SMD Simulation (MACHDYN)

In the MACHDYN examples, the units quoted in the introduction is ‘unit system: GPa / mm / ms’ however in further down in the input scripts ‘units si’ is defined which according the the LAMMPS website si units use Pascals/meters/meter second. My question is then what unit is is the simulation working in finally GPa or Pascals?

What matters are the LAMMPS commands and their documentation.

Also, if you are unsure or have trust issues, just make a test.
