Please use this forum for “How to…” requests, to report bugs, to advertise your contributions to ATAT, for feature requests and complaints, etc.
The former ATAT forum at ATAT Forum has now been entirely transferred to this site!
All accounts of users who posted messages are also being transferred. You can simply use the “forgot password” link from the login page to recreate a password for yourself (assuming you still have access to the email account you used on the old forum). As this process is going on, you may be receiving emails about your posts from years ago - apologies!
A few caveats:
- In the transfer, irrelevant messages and users were filtered out (although my filter may not be 100% accurate).
- Special characters in usernames (i.e. anything but letters, numbers and -_.) were converted to “_”.
- If you already had an account on MatSci.org (as matched by email or username) the messages were posted under your existing account.
- If you never posted on the old forum, your account was not transferred, but you are welcome to recreate an account on the new site.
- If you don’t have access to the email account you used on the old forum, you can create a new account with a different email. Your old posts just won’t be linked to your new account.
