Understanding the deformation potential values when SOC is included in the calculation

Hello Alex,

I have calculated deformation potential (DP) values for a system with and without including SOC. I observed that the values with SOC are almost double the values without SOC. I have attached the DP values below.

The increase in DP values is just because the number of bands are increased at valence band maximum due to SOC or is there any other factor influencing it. Elastic constants are not much changing with SOC but due to this difference in DP values, I’m getting large difference in scattering rates as well. So, could you please help me understand the differences in these values.
